To submit comments on Cheshire West & Chester Local Plan Part 2

1. Go to the CW&C website at http://www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

2. Click on the tab marked consultation (bottom right quadrant of the screen)

3. Click to See all consultations, then from the list displayed select Local Plan

4. Under the heading Local Plan (Part Two) Land Allocations and Detailed Policies… click on the link to the Consultation Portal

5. At this point you can view submissions already made by following the link Who Said What? (top right quadrant of the screen)



6. To continue, click on Local Plan (Part Two) Land Allocations and Detailed Policies – Issues within the displayed table

7. Click on Local Plan (Part Two) Land Allocations and Detailed Policies – issues.pdf to see the document on which comments are invited (it contains links to the Local Plan Part One). This document is also available for reference in libraries

8. The questions relating to CBM and shale gas extraction are Question 62 and Question 63, which refer to section ENV7 in Part One of the plan – there is a link to this on page 37 of the document, paragraph 5.10

9. You will see that comments can be submitted:

• through the Council's consultation portal (for a step-by-step guide, see "How to comment on the Local Plan (Part Two) online document in the "Supporting Documents" tab)

• emailed to spatialplanning@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

• or sent in writing to the following address:

         Spatial Planning
         Cheshire West and Chester Council
         The Forum Offices
         Chester
         CH1 2HS

• Please note that if you wish to comment on line you will need to register for a log-in ID. This is an automated process and you will be e mailed the link straight away.

• All comments submitted (by whichever means you choose) will appear on the website and your name will also be shown

• THE CLOSING DATE FOR COMMENTS IS 5PM ON 19 JUNE
